What is GDPR?
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It’s a new EU regulation that will replace the UK Data Protection Act 1998. Whilst the new regulation will reinforce and extend current data protection rules and definitions, it will also significantly increase potential penalties for breaches.
What is the GDPR about?
It’s about ensuring that companies and organisations process personal data, while having adequate measures in place, to protect an individual’s rights when it comes to their data.
